Gardenia

Native to China and Japan, Gardenia jasminoides is a slow-growing evergreen shrub with glossy dark green leaves and large, highly fragrant white or cream flowers. Also known as Cape Jasmine, this plant usually blooms between mid-spring and early summer.

The deep contrast between the white of the flowers and the dark green of the leaves, combined with the irresistible scent it gives off, make this plant a must-have on balconies, terraces and even in the garden. It can be kept indoors, as long as it is placed near a window with plenty of light. It is often used in hedges or hedges, as it grows slowly and compactly. Despite this, it adapts perfectly to pot life and is a very easy plant to care for. Some even use it as a bonsai.
