African Lily

Agapanthus, or African Lily, is a perennial plant, ideal for those looking for color and structure during the warmer months. During the summer and early autumn, this variety produces rounded, dense inflorescences, with dozens of small blue-violet flowers that rise on tall stems, creating a striking presence both in gardens and in pots.

The long, arched leaves remain green and attractive all year round in mild climates, providing volume and texture even outside the flowering period. As it is a more compact variety than others of its kind, it is particularly suitable for smaller outdoor spaces, such as balconies or patios, but it also adapts well to flowerbeds and gardens, where it can be used as a feature plant or in groups.

It prefers full sun, but tolerates partial shade. It likes well-drained soils rich in organic matter, with moderate watering. After the flowering period, dry stems should be cut to stimulate new blooms and maintain the plant's clean appearance.

It is resistant to heat, wind and even moderate drought, and is easy to maintain. However, although it is non-toxic to the touch, it is not considered safe for pets and should be placed out of their reach.
