Also known as the "baseball bat" cactus, this species of cactus, Neoraimondia herzogiana, is native to the Bolivian mountains. It is very slow growing, but in its natural habitat, with ideal lighting conditions and room for its roots to grow, it can reach a height of over 10 meters. Indoors, it grows very slowly and can reach a height of about 1 to 1.5 meters.

This cactus is resistant to low temperatures, however, it prefers warm, dry environments with direct sunlight. Indoors, it should be placed by a window or on a piece of furniture near a source of natural light. With ideal lighting conditions, this cactus can produce pink flowers and edible fruits.
