About Hinoki Cypress

Chamaecyparis obtusa Nana Gracilis is a false cypress native to Japan, where it is known as Hinoki. This small shrub is very versatile and can be planted in gardens or kept in pots to decorate balconies and patios.

Thanks to its slow growth and compact shape, this shrub is ideal for small spaces or for those who want to add a natural element to limited areas. Due to its graceful shape and symmetrical appearance, it creates a sense of harmony and is often used as a bonsai and in the decoration of rock gardens and Zen gardens.

The dark green foliage is unique and attractive, forming clumps of leaves in a shape reminiscent of clouds. It is a very hardy plant, easy to care for, which requires very little care.

Tip

The best way to water your Hinoki is to submerge the pot in a container of water for a few minutes. Make sure to let any excess water drain out when you remove it.
