About Rosmarinus Prostatus | Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Prostratus’, now botanically classified as Salvia rosmarinus ‘Prostratus’, is a creeping rosemary variety highly valued for its trailing growth, hardiness, and distinctive aroma.

With aromatic green foliage and a flowing growth habit, it is perfect for creating natural effects on walls, slopes, borders, or elevated pots, where it can cascade and add movement to the space. It is an excellent choice for Mediterranean-style gardens or for those seeking hardy, low-maintenance solutions.

During flowering, it produces small bluish flowers that add colour and attract pollinators, contributing to a livelier and more balanced garden.

In addition to its ornamental value, rosemary is an aromatic plant widely used in Mediterranean cuisine, ideal for seasoning meats, vegetables, and other dishes. Having a creeping rosemary at home allows you to combine decoration and utility, with fresh leaves always available to enhance your favourite dishes.

It adapts well to sunny locations, is heat and drought resistant, and thrives easily in well-drained soils. Ideal for those looking for a durable, decorative, and easy-to-care-for plant.

Sizes Guide

Plant sizes are shown as total plant height | growing pot diameter.

This means the total height of the plant, from the base of the growing pot to the longest or highest point of the foliage | the diameter of the growing pot measured at the top rim.

Thus, this measurement includes the roots and substrate, as well as the height or length of the plant.
