Note that the review is based on the experience rather than the plant. The plant seemed well packed although the pot that came along was broken. It feels that the pot was to small as rhizomes developed through time. I know the ZZ likes tight spots but I had to repot it into a slightly bigger pot afterward. After some days some stems were very weak and bending over to the point I had to remove again the plant to inspect the rhizomes, and to my surprise some parts of it were rotting. Despite the rot was very superficial I sliced it to prevent spreading. I wonder if it was all the stress that the plant went through (trip, repot, others) or some problem beforehand. Anyways the plant has been behaving normally after the maintenance. But I feel a bit stressful going through all this process.

Now regarding the plant. I already own a ZZ and this plant is amazing. Very beautiful and resilient if you neglect her. Some advices for it to thrive:
- water only the pot feels very light and the soil is dry. Do a deep watering and let the water leave through the pot holes for 10 mins
- No direct light or you will burn her. But she likes bright light, but she manages to survive well in darker places, although she not thrives in those conditions
- Try to keep the plant in the same spot and rotate it only if stems start pointing to the light
- Don’t clip the stems to keep it straight too tightly or you will be strangling the plant
- Re-pot only when the plant’s rhizomes become too big to the point that them standout way to over the soil (2 -3 cm is fine). Also pick a pot just slightly bigger otherwise you risk water retention that leads to rot.

tl;dr;
- zz likes indirect bright light, likes be left alone (neglected) and does not like water.
- I am fascinated about the beauty of this plant
- I am a bit sad for all the trouble I had with it when iy arrived

Maybe the score is unfair, but I just want to give some awareness my experience to the store. I will change the score later to not give the plant “bad reputation”

Gostei da planta e chegou rápido e em boas condições
