About Laurel

Laurus nobilis, also known as laurel, is a perennial plant widely recognized for its aromatic leaves. Native to the Mediterranean region, this shrub can reach up to 12 meters in height when grown outdoors, but is easily kept more compact with regular pruning, making it ideal for gardens or balconies. The laurel can also be used as an indoor plant, as long as it receives plenty of direct sunlight.

In addition to its ornamental value, the Bay Laurel is an indispensable addition to the kitchen. The fresh or dried leaves, which can be used directly after harvesting, are perfect for seasoning soups, stews, marinades and a variety of dishes, adding a unique aroma and flavor. Traditionally, Bay Laurel leaves are also used in medicinal infusions to aid digestion and relieve respiratory problems.
