Calathea Jungle Velvet

Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, Calathea Jungle Velvet is a plant prized for its broad, velvety-textured leaves in deep, dark green tones. The deep purple underside of the leaves adds a dramatic touch to the plant. This bicolor effect and soft texture make it particularly decorative.

Like all Calatheas, it prefers environments with filtered light (never direct sunlight), high humidity and regular watering with lime-free water. Calathea Jungle Velvet is a plant that is relatively sensitive to temperature variations and drafts, and should be kept in a sheltered place with constant temperatures. It is an excellent choice for well-lit bathrooms or rooms where you can recreate a tropical atmosphere.
